Local knowledge that runs deep

Meet Captain Zach

I grew up fishing these waters and know them like home.

It started when I was five years old, tagging along with my grandpa Eric to little ponds around the Finger Lakes, chasing bass and learning patience one cast at a time. Those early mornings stuck with me. Fishing wasn’t just something to do, it was where I felt at home.

As I got older, that love only grew. If I wasn’t on Lake Ontario with my family, I was riding my bike to Canandaigua Lake with a rod strapped to my backpack. By the time I was 13, I was spending every chance I had on Lake Ontario. Fishing the creeks, running lines on boats, and working as a first mate whenever I could. That same year, I entered my first Lake Ontario tournament and ended up winning it. That was the moment I knew this lake was going to be a big part of my life.

Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to win a few more tournaments, but what really keeps me fired up is sharing the experience. As the captain of Crazy Kings Sport Fishing, my goal is simple. Put people on fish, teach them how the lake works, and make sure they have a great day doing it. Whether it’s your first time holding a rod or you’re chasing your next big king, I treat every trip like it matters. Because it does.

A Boat Built for Lake Ontario

The boat is a 32-foot Wellcraft Coastal, and it’s built exactly for what we do out here on Lake Ontario.

There’s plenty of room to fish comfortably, which makes it a great setup for group charters, families, and longer days on the water. Nobody’s crowded, lines are easy to work, and there’s space to move around whether you’re fighting a fish or just enjoying the ride.

Inside, you’ll find the things that make a full day on the lake easier and more comfortable. A private bathroom, which is huge on longer trips, and a dinette where you can warm up, grab a snack, or take a breather between bites. Everything is laid out with real fishing days in mind.

The boat is clean, solid, and fully equipped for salmon and trout fishing on Lake Ontario. It’s not about luxury for the sake of it. It’s about comfort, safety, and having the right platform to put fish in the net and make the day enjoyable from start to finish.
